Alex, I imagine it's possible. However, it's a bit jump from 1717 to get to my first documented Wenzel Mach and Josef Mach in the 1800's. But I'd like to try to tie them together. I have a record from a ship manifest showing my half-uncle, Martin Mach, arriving in America in November, 1897. It also states he previously lives in Delphos, 1894 for three years. I've looked for the ship manifest from 1894, but find nothing. Are there other ways to search for that? And are there manifests for returns to Europe as he did go back once. He is listed as my father's father, but my dad was born 28 Sept 1897 and he always claimed a different father. A bit of a mystery. Sharon Aller Seattle

Rhonda ... made one little look and found Michael Fridl on page 149 registering in Vienna 24 Decem 1771 4 people in his party; from Passauischen Rhonda -- I just found this in my Draft file ... not sure if I ever sent a continuation ... but thought this Fridl informationmight be interesting to look up. I would check on familysearch.org and use Passau as a possible location with the early dates of 1770 or so.See what pops up. The "ischen" at the end of a village name means just small village or town ..

I am looking for information about the Majores family in Darowa. I know that Ludwig Majores, born 25 Sept.1837 in Darowa. married M.A. Berberich in 1868, and died on 30 Oct. 1879. I believe that the first member of the family to settle in Darowa came from Luxemburg in 1785. Wilhelm Bohnert and his wife Magdalena Breuer had three sons, Wilhelm, born 1847, Johann, born 1858 and Jakob, born 1860 who moved to Kernei. Johann, Feb 14 1858 Tshonopl- March 11, 1904 in Kernei married Anna Ott, Jan 21,1860-Nov 09, 1895 in Kernei. They had seven children of whom three died in infancy. A son Josef was born in 1883, but I have no further information. Another son, Johann was born in 1885 and later moved to Cleveland. A daughter Katharina was born in 1891, but I have no further
