Hello Alex, Thank you so much for the information on Johann Mach, coming to Temeswar with the other settlers. Do you know about what date that was? I'm guessing the late 1700's based on other reading. Hello, after a short break from family research and a visit to Kowatschi in August 2013, I try to find the remaining brick walls. In Kowatschi I have found the grave of my great grand-parents Botyen Mathias, born August 24, 1863 in Kowatschi, died Oktober 12,1930 in Kowatschi and his wife Andrejkovics Elisabeth born Nov. 22,1871 in Sackelhausen, died April 20, 1966. The parents of Botyen Mathias are Botyen Peter, born Nov. 14, 1837 in Alexanderhausen , died 1907 in Kowatschi and wife MC

Thanks RoseMary ... this looks to be a great amount of information all in one place ... a great place especially for a beginner to start learning of the history. Sometimes reading about the history gets a bit boring .. we're so interested in getting family names and dates and creating a family tree. This gives the background of the area in a very succinct way.
