My father, Joseph Gould, was born in 1911 in Newport Wales. He was the
youngest of 8 and all his siblings were girls. His mother was Emily Gould
(born Williams) and the sisters names were Margret, Rose, Violet, Gladys
Maude, Laura, Beatie, and Ruby. My father emigrated to Canada in 1929, but
he returned to Wales to find his sisters and found that they had all left
