I'm afraid I don't have any connection to you that I can see at the moment - but we may be connected down the line. The Slowe family was large at one stage. I've had to rely upon others to research for me as I don't live down South. MY James Slowe was born c1832 to Joseph & Elizabeth [Hunt] Slowe. Joseph & Elizabeth didn't have a son named "George". Joseph Slowe was Bp 1797 All Saints & St Peter, Rushton, to Edward & Mary [Iliffe] Slowe. I don't have a "George" as a son to Edward & Mary amongst their children, [they [m] 1789]]. Edward was Bp 1760 All Sts. & St. Peter, Rushton to a John & Mary [Foster] Slow. John & Mary [m] 1758 Rushton. They had a son named George Bp 1763, & a son named Robert Bp 1765 & 1769 amongst their children, the first Robert may have died. I have a marriage entry of a George Slow & Elizabeth Bamford 3.11.1794, All Sts. & St. Peter. That's all I have that might interest you at the moment concerning the Slowe family. Now my Mary Abbott [Abbutt] was Bp 1803 in Twywell to, I believe, a Richard & Sarah Abbutt. Mary had 2 illeg. daughters named Dinah & Caroline, before she [m] Thomas Palmer. As I said before we might have a connection down the line but as I'm up North it's hard for me to research the families.
