It was a closed list and only authorized notices from AFGS were to be allowed on the list. Anyone could join the list but only Authorized individuals would be able to post. Something has changed and now anyone is able to post. We are sorry but this has caused a lot of emails into the list which should not be. As of now we are not able to correct the issue of unauthorized posting. Because of this I am very sorry to say we will be closing the list until we can correct this issue. Also you can try to find a local Church of the Latter Day Saints - Mormon- to see if they can order any microfilm for you from other branches. Their website is familysearch.org. I'm not sure what they charge but you never know what you can find. I'm also apologizing for all the problems that people are giving you. I have lots of bricks in my family tree also and some of the names have changed thru the years, which makes it even harder. There are other rootsweb groups you can try emailing that have similar spellings. Hopefully they will give you better results than you got on this list.
