<title>[ARKANSAS-QUERIES] William Patton White 1879-1914 - Arkansas</title>
<link>http://archiver.rootsweb.com/th/read/ARKANSAS-QUERIES/2007-12/1197044200</link>
<description>I am searching for the PARENTS and SIBLINGS of William Patton White.  Parents names could be Frank (this could also be a middle name) and Nancy (her maiden name could be Jaine).  Have the possible name of one sibling John Arthur, no birthdate.  &#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3C;BR&#x3E;According to William from the 1900 census of Lawrence County, Cache Township, Arkansas, he was born in AR, and his parents were born in TN.  He is not in the household of his parents but living with the Andrews family as a laborer.  In 1901he married a daughter of the Andrews, Myrtle Jane in Lawrence County, AR.&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3C;BR&#x3E;William died in 1914 in Randolph County, AR, and left his widow with 6 children.  No clues of his parents have been passed down to the family, (except the possibility that they may have moved to LA after his death) so searching for them is a needle in the haystack.  My only hope lies in the hope that someone might be doing reasearch in his parent's family, and we can connect that way.&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3C;BR&#x3E;Frank would probably have been born in the 1850's, and Nancy Jaine around the same time.  These names appeared on William's death certificate.      &#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3C;BR&#x3E;

<description>Illinois was part of the Northwest Territory. The Northwest Ordinance was &#x3C;BR&#x3E;passed to survey the land and put land grants for sale. The 16th section was &#x3C;BR&#x3E;set aside for educational purposes.
