Someone contacted me on this list a while back in regard to the photo of HMAS Orara on this website: http://users.bigpond.net.au/elliget/ausran/wecosh/wec04.html At the time, I was in England and didn't have access to the original, higher-res scans of these photos but I'm now back in Australia and will be able to access these next weekend when in Melbourne (currently in Brisbane). If you look at the left side he is sitting in front of the men standing, he is the 4th one along. Unfortunately the quality of some of the RAN service records is not the best and this one is no exception. It's very hard to read in parts. However I think I can make out the word "Manoora" on the front of the card (the first image). I find that hard to read writing like this can sometimes be enhanced by making a negative of the image in whatever graphics application you are using and playing around with the contrast (a temporary copy, of course).
