<title>[AZ-GVGS] Past Tracks</title>
<link>http://archiver.rootsweb.com/th/read/AZ-GVGS/2009-01/1231199999</link>
<description>Past Tracks was mailed on December 30. If you have not received your copy by now it is likely because you haven&#x27;t paid your 2008-09 dues. When dues are received, your newsletter will be mailed or you can pick it up at the January meeting.&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3C;BR&#x3E;The next meeting is Thursday, 15 Jan 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Francis Episcopal Church as usual. The speaker is Kathleen Stewart Goodrich, M.Ed., of Mesa. Her topic is &#x22;Solve the Mystery of your Family&#x27;s History: What I learned from Nancy Drew.&#x22; I have sat in this lecture and found it not only informative but entertaining as she attacks genealogy in the manner of the teenage detective, Nancy Drew. &#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3C;BR&#x3E;

<title>[AZ-GVGS] Library Hours</title>
<link>http://archiver.rootsweb.com/th/read/AZ-GVGS/2009-01/1231025786</link>
<description>Just a reminder that the library will be open Tuesday afternoon from 3:30 to 6:00 PM.  For those of you researching Connecticut, we have a wonderful research tool for you.  The CD of the &#x22;Ricker Compilation of Vital Records of Early Connecticut&#x22;.  It is based on the &#x22;Barbour Collection&#x22; and contains 1.2 million records of births, marriages and deaths from over 135 Connecticut towns.  It covers the period from 1633 to about 1850.&#x3C;BR&#x3E;I am researching Connecticut and it was a bonanza for me.  See you Tuesday!!&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3C;BR&#x3E;Jerry Flowers, Librarian&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3C;BR&#x3E;

<description>Just a note to all, to Thank You, for everyones work with the  &#x3C;BR&#x3E;Genealogy Group. I hope to attend more meetings in 2009.&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3C;BR&#x3E;I want to commend Betty Malesky for a wonderful program &#x27;On Women in  &#x3C;BR&#x3E;her Life&#x27;, at the MADERA CANYON DAR lunch. Women are the &#x27;backbone&#x27;  &#x3C;BR&#x3E;of our world. Everyone should think about who keeps their families  &#x3C;BR&#x3E;together. <description>Just a reminder that this afternoon is the last time the library will be open this year.  The school closes for Xmas vacation until Jan 5, 2009.  Go to our website, locate the books or CD&#x27;s that you want to review, write down the CD # or the  Dewey Decimal # and find those lost ancestors before 2008 ends.  The library opens at 3:30 PM and closes at 6:00 PM.  See you there.  &#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3C;BR&#x3E;Jerry Flowers&#x3C;BR&#x3E;Librarian&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3C;BR&#x3E;
