Hi Johnnie,

That would be fine. I may even add a Berendo set with some pictures in it.
I just upgraded to the paid version. I am still learning how to use Flickr.
The free version is limited to 200 photos and three sets.
Didn't take me long to use that up.
People can add comments to the pictures if they want.

Alex

--------------------------------------------------
From: "John Dumas" <john_dumas@yahoo.com>
Sent: Thursday, October 02, 2008 11:44 AM
To: <berendo@rootsweb.com>
Subject: Re: [BERENDO] Studebaker photos

> Hi Al,
> Thanks for the Flickr link.
It would have been a straight 6 flathead. If it was very underpowered it
would have been the Champion model.
Very reliable and good mileage though.
Overdrives now days are automatic.
In those days, for overdrive you had to pull a handle. In overdrive the car
would freewheel when coasting.
In overdrive you could shift without using the clutch.
I had a 52 Ford with overdrive.

Alex

--------------------------------------------------
From: "Diane" <ladydy1@comcast.net>
Sent: Thursday, October 02, 2008 8:46 AM
To: <berendo@rootsweb.com>
Subject: Re: [BERENDO] Studebaker photos

> I remember it was a V6 and probably not overdrive.... still don't
> understand overdrive....
Hi Diane

Good to hear from you. What year Studebaker did you have?
Your friend probably was in the Studebaker Drivers Club.
I was a member from 67 till about 77 when I sold my first Studebaker. Then I
rejoined about 1997.
I found this car through the Club. It was up in Martinez CA, where it sat in
a driveway for 17 years.
It took a little over 2 years to build.
Although I wasn't going to use the old engine, I was curious as to how hard
it would be to get it running.
Here's a video of the startup.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8PeDg53cL2E

Here's a video of it a few years after it was done. The man who took the
video and posted it was confused as to where it came from.
Thus the title. His dad sold a Stude to a friend of mine and he thought
this was that one
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B4c-JKEU5TU

Alex

--------------------------------------------------
From: "Diane" <ladydy1@comcast.net>
Sent: Wednesday, October 01, 2008 12:22 PM
To: <berendo@rootsweb.com>
Subject: Re: [BERENDO] Studebaker photos

> Hey...
