<title>[BOND] Martin Bond b 1610 London</title>
<link>http://archiver.rootsweb.com/th/read/BOND/2009-01/1231110399</link>
<description>Hi List, &#x3C;BR&#x3E;It looks like my long search for info on my William BOND b c 1655 England, d. 1739/40 New York, NY, early settler of Ulster Co., NY, ships captain, surveyor, etc.may have had results. But of course -- now that it appears I have found his father -- who was HIS father?&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3C;BR&#x3E;A William Bond was christened 19 May 1655 at St. Dunstan, Stepney, London, son of Martin Bond and Sara. This sure looks like my Wm. as he was quite sure of his age as shown by two legal type statements, 30 or so years apart. Say it is, then who was Martin?&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3C;BR&#x3E;An IGI search shows a Martin BOND chr. 13 Mar 1610, St Mary Whitechapel, Stepney, London, son of William Bond. By 1655 this Martin would have been 45 years old, so could well be the father of a son named for his father, Wm. It makes sense. But again, WHO was William?? Was he the Wm. chr. 1581 at St Clement Danes, son of William? And was THIS William who must have been born before 1560, the son of the famous William Bond, Alderman of London, of Crosby Place, ST Helens Bishopsgate, London and?father of the famous MARTIN BOND, 1560-1643?&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3C;BR&#x3E;It DOES add up. All the locations are fairly close together and the chronology works.&#x3C;BR&#x3E;I&#x27;d love to hear from anyone who has worked on the London Bonds.&#x3C;BR&#x3E;Phyllis J. Miller&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3C;BR&#x3E;

<description>Hi Robert,&#x3C;BR&#x3E;   I have had the same problem with my&#x3C;BR&#x3E;Frederick Bond b. about 1802-04 Brentford Middlesex, England&#x3C;BR&#x3E;Frederick married Ann Sprosen&#x3C;BR&#x3E;Children: John b. 1829&#x3C;BR&#x3E;Sarah b. 1834&#x3C;BR&#x3E;Thomas Owen b. 1837&#x3C;BR&#x3E;Richard b. 1839&#x3C;BR&#x3E;Ann b. 1846&#x3C;BR&#x3E;James b. 1850&#x3C;BR&#x3E;Ellen or Helen b. 1853&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3C;BR&#x3E;I have never been able to find Frederick&#x27;s parents. <title>[BOND] BOND Family Photograph</title>
<link>http://archiver.rootsweb.com/th/read/BOND/2008-11/1226864307</link>
<description>I&#x27;ve &#x22;rescued&#x22; an old family photograph of the BOND Family including Lillian&#x3C;BR&#x3E;BOND, Mary Jane SWISHER BOND, and Flora BOND SAUNDERS which was taken at the&#x3C;BR&#x3E;Saunders Studio in Milton, Wisconsin.  The photograph appears to have been&#x3C;BR&#x3E;taken in the 1880&#x27;s or 1890&#x27;s and includes two unidentified people as well&#x3C;BR&#x3E;as the three ladies.  The oldest appears to be Mary Jane looking to be in&#x3C;BR&#x3E;her 50&#x27;s of 60&#x27;s at the time, with Lillian and Flora both looking to be in&#x3C;BR&#x3E;their 30&#x27;s or 40&#x27;s. Also in the photograph is a young man appearing to be in&#x3C;BR&#x3E;his teens and a young girl about 6 years old as well.  &#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3C;BR&#x3E;Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information&#x3C;BR&#x3E;regarding this family:&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3C;BR&#x3E;Mariah &#x22;Mary Jane&#x22; SWISHER b. 27 Aug 1831 in Rockford, VA to parents Isaac&#x3C;BR&#x3E;SWISHER (b. 15 Jul 1793 in Browns Creek, VA) and Mariah JETT (b. 20 Jan 1796&#x3C;BR&#x3E;in Fauquiere Co. VA).  Mariah married Daniel Moore BOND M.D. in 1849 and&#x3C;BR&#x3E;moved to WI that same year.&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3C;BR&#x3E;Florence Virginia BOND b. 12 Sept 1854 in Johnstown Center, WI to parents&#x3C;BR&#x3E;Daniel Moore BOND (b. 22 Mar 1826 in Lost Creek, WV) and Mariah Jane SWISHER&#x3C;BR&#x3E;(b. 27 Aug 1831 in Rockford, VA).  Daniel &#x26; Mariah BOND had three children,&#x3C;BR&#x3E;Florence Virginia; Franklin Lewis; and Lillian M. BOND all born between 1854&#x3C;BR&#x3E;and 1863 in WI.  Mariah Jane SWISHER BOND died 25 Apr 1909 in Ashaway, RI at&#x3C;BR&#x3E;the home of her daughter Flora.&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3C;BR&#x3E;Florence married Edward Bates SAUNDERS (b. 7 Jun 1851 in Berlin, NY) on 30&#x3C;BR&#x3E;Jan 1878 in Janesville, WI and together they had 3 children including,&#x3C;BR&#x3E;Howard Bond; Ethel Mildred; and Irma SAUNDERS all born between 1879 and 1886&#x3C;BR&#x3E;in Hallock, IL; Milton, WI; and Madison, WI.  Florence BOND SAUNDERS died 12&#x3C;BR&#x3E;Apr 1922 in Beaver Falls, PA.&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3C;BR&#x3E;Lillian BOND b. 18 Mar 1863 in WI, the daughter of Daniel Moore BOND and&#x3C;BR&#x3E;Mary Jane SWISHER.&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3C;BR&#x3E;I am hoping to locate someone from the family so that this wonderful old&#x3C;BR&#x3E;photograph can be returned to their care.  If you are a member of the&#x3C;BR&#x3E;family, or you know someone who might be, please contact me.&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3C;BR&#x3E;Thanks,&#x3C;BR&#x3E;Shelley&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3C;BR&#x3E;
