<description>I am looking for anyone who might be related to William Brehmer who lived in Shawano County. This is what I know so far.&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3C;BR&#x3E;Wilhelm Friederich Ferdinand Brehmer was born in Norenberg, Kreis Saatzig, Pommern on 3/20/l865.&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3C;BR&#x3E;On 2/l2/l89l William marries Louise Beier/Beyer in Zion Lutheran Church in Caroline, Wisconsin.&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3C;BR&#x3E;In l892 they have a son, Friedrich Wilhelm Carl Brehmer. &#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3C;BR&#x3E;On 3/ll/l894 William dies at the age of 28.&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3C;BR&#x3E;His wife remarries. She marries Robert Krueger.&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3C;BR&#x3E;I believe Wilhlem is my great grandmothers' brother. I have more information on the Brehmer family but sketchy information on William. <title>[BREHMER] Pomeranian Culture and Genealogy</title>
<link>http://archiver.rootsweb.com/th/read/BREHMER/2008-05/1212012312</link>
<description>The following information is from the book, Pomeranian Culture and Genealogy.  More information on the book can be obtained from at http://www.execpc.com/~pommern/&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3C;BR&#x3E;Page 9&#x3C;BR&#x3E;Frau Hildegard Brehmer has sent us transcriptions of two valuable Pommeranian letters dating back to the Napoleonic wars.  One was written in l8l4 and the other in l8l5...&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3C;BR&#x3E;Page 65&#x3C;BR&#x3E;III.  Jurisdiction of Friedrichswalde...This territory was first opened for settlement in l726 and was still sparsley populated in 1747.  King Frederick II permitted 90 families (420 persons) from the Palantine to colonize this area.    In Karlsbach in the 1747-48 assessment there were 16 Palantine families.  Joh. Henkel could not manage and turned the estate over to Michel Bremer.  &#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3C;BR&#x3E;Page 79&#x3C;BR&#x3E;In 1717 there was a census of farmers in Kreis Greifenberg.  Only a portion of the census survives.  Hans Bremer is one of the farmers listed in Klatkow.&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3C;BR&#x3E;Page 94 &#x3C;BR&#x3E;Hans Brehmer settled in the village of Triebs in 1723.  This is a listing for farm families that were on the same farm for at least 200 years.&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3C;BR&#x3E;Page 114&#x3C;BR&#x3E;This page talks about a library of Hildegard Brehmer.  It is a listing of school absences in 1838, village of Zedlin, Kreis Greifenberg.&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3C;BR&#x3E;Page 115&#x3C;BR&#x3E;It indicates that Caroline Brehmer, daughter of N.N.Brehmer, missed school.  Children missed school in order to help out on the farm.&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3C;BR&#x3E;
