Brumfield was Pearlie Brumfield who married Clara Scaggs. Most of the Brumfield family is buried in the Brumfield Cemetery in Wayne County off of Newcomb Creek. George B. Brumfield, his son, married Sach Rova Thacker (named after a steam boat). They had about 9 children: Arthur Wellington, Bostic, Claude, Delbert, Eltha, and others I can't remember. A lot of them died from the TB epidemic. My grandmother was Eltha Brumfield Pyles, who married George F. Pyles.
