He married Mary Bridget (Mollie) HOULIHAN Dec. 1900 (place unknown). Their daughter, Jessie Viola born July 14, 1901 in Bakersfield (Kern County) California. She married Carl Henning Sept. 19, 1928. Mollie died May 9, 1971 in Oakland. Jessie Viola died Oakland, date unknown. This is the extent of the history we have. Mollie married again, so we presume she and Jesse divorced, but have no records on this. Thus, that is not this Jesse on the 1900 census. I will continue to search for more info. My Yoakum information is all pre 1900. I'm descended from George Yoakum and Martha Van Bibber Jesse Yoakum b. 1783 and Anna Berry William Yoakum b. 1820 William and two brothers came to CA in the 1850's, driving cattle from MO to CA. One of the brothers died on the trail, that was Jesse T. Yoakum. The other two brothers, Isaac and William Yoakum later moved their families to CA. I'm trying to trace the ancestors of Isaac Yoakum, born in TN about 1810. He had a son Jesse, born about 1844 in MO. I'm wondering if this Jesse is a descendant of your Jessie.
