John was born in 1803 in South Carolina. Married to a Susannah ? 1st. On Morgan Co, Missouri censuses in 1850, 1860 & 1870. Susannah appar disappears from census record after 1860. 1870 census lists John w/Margaret & 2 of John & Susannah's children. Marriage on file in Morgan Co, Missouri of John Cooksey and Mrs. Margaret Earnest on Oct 12, 1866. Looking at John & 1st wife Susannah as parents of Mary Ann Cooksey Ramming b 1827 in what is now DeKalb Co, TN. STEWART which was taken at the Johnson Studio in San Francisco, California. The photograph is dated 1901 and indicates that Nellie is 6 years old at the time the photograph was taken. Thanks to the assistance of STEWART Family Researchers we believe that this may be a photograph of Nellie C. STEWART b. Jul 1895 in CA the daughter of Alonzo & Hattie B. STEWART. The middle initial is not a match but that was all that could be found as a possible match. Does anyone have another possible Nellie S. STEWART in San Francisco, CA at that time? I'd guess that the oldest is a boy and the youngest a girl, though they could both be boys. The first is a photograph of Katie CUMMINS which was taken at the I. Boysen Studio in Colusa, California. The photograph is dated 5 November 1882 with Katie appearing to be in her teens at the time it was taken. The second photograph is not identified, though it certainly appears to be a sibling of Katie's which was also taken at the J. Boysen Studio in Colusa, CA likely in the 1870's or 1880's with the young woman in the photograph also appearing to be in her teens at the time. I recently saw a pair of Mudd graves in the Orland IOOF Cemetery, but I did not pay attention to the first names. There are burials there from the 1870's so maybe a relation?
