I have no proof on your census question, whether the Joseph Cary next store was the Father or a son, or unrelated.

My GGGrandfather was Nathan Cary b:29 Sep, 1793, Grandson of Elihu. He lived out his life in Chemung Co NY near his Uncle Absalom Carey, Elihu's son. Nathan served in the War of 1812 for NY, and his son, my GGrandfather, John A Cary (changed to Carey at this point) served with his brother William Cary in the Civil War. William died in the war in GA, where he is buried, and John lived out his life in Albany, and Chemung, and was buried in Chemung, near his grandparents and his wife, in a cemetery in Chemung.

Hope you get this message and I would love to exchange the information I do have on my end of the Carey Family.

Dave Dillman

Important Note:
The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
