I believe that my great great-grandmother is Edward's half-sister Margaret. I know that my great great-grandmother (who spelled her last name Stewart) was born around 1870 in Ohio, to a father from Scotland and a mother from Pennsylvania. According to the 1880 census for Springfield, Ohio, there is a Maggie A. stewart (born around 1870) living with Alexander and Mary Stewart. Alexander was born around 1813 in Scotland and has a son, also named Alexander, from a previous marriage. His wife Mary, born in Pennsylvania, is also the mother to a daughter, Sadie, and a son, Charles. Lastly, there is an Ann Sloan living with them, listed as Alexander's mother-in-law. This information seems to coincide with the information that you posted regarding Edward Stuart, except of course for the spelling of the last name and Margaret's information regarding marriage. I am 95% sure that my great great-grandmother is indeed Edward's half-sister, but to be sure I was hoping you could tell me where you got Margaret's death date. Lastly, assuming my margaret is the same as your margaret, I would love any information you could provide regarding our shared Stewart/Stuart lineage. Any old pictures that you may have would be especially appreciated. I find that you can look at someone's name on a census or other document, but you can't really get a sense of who they were until you can tie a face with a name. Any information you would like from me on Margaret down I would love to share as well.
