I'm looking for a James Elliot,born between 1780 and and 1802..I know of 35 James's born in Scotland during that time period..what I want to know is in what parishes did those births occur. I also know of 17 James Elliot's married in Scotland between 1800 and 1822..I'd like to know in what parishes those marriages occurred.I know his wife was an Anna?. If I can find a marriage parish to match up with a birth parish..plus if I am able to obtain the maiden name of the bride..and can find out where that suname turns up(parish wise)..I'll be on the right track. I am happy to provide such additional information as required, My father, Warren Alison Wills Elliott died last week 22.8.05 in Murwillumbah north New South Wales Australia. Warren Alison Wills Elliott was born in 20.8.26 in Sydney Australia, the son of William Wills Elliott (probably originally Isaac Wills Elliott) and Sheila Jean Hunter and grandson of Frances Wills (mother) and Robert? Elliott. Robert? Elliott was born in Endland or Scotland, possibly around Heyshaw and had 11-12 children, most of whom moved to south of London at some stage and who had very few heirs. I think my father Warren Elliott was the only surviving male hei r of these 12 childrten. The only other male herir died young. My father, Warren Alison Wills Elliott is survived by his wife Jean Lynette Elliott (nee Weaden) and their three children: Daughter Elizabeth Elliott born 1949, mother of one daughter Unity Collier (1980?) Daughter Rosemary Elliott born 1953 mother of one son Daniel Elliott Lewis (1994) Son Justin David Elliott born 1959 father of two sons Angus Elliott (1987) and Henry Elliott (1990) and one daughter Emerald Elliott (1994) Hope this is of use.
