It is Oliver in the 1850-1860 (can&#x27;t find him in 1870) Cen Huntington Co, IN--came ca 1871 Piatt Co, IL with his brother Jefferson (stayed in Piatt Co) &#x26; Darius/Dennis (with to IA then to Cripple Creek, CO). Oliver was in Piatt Co until he died 1901. Was buried in Ingram Cem was moved to Monticello when Lydia died in 1936.  Oliver &#x26; Lydia is my GGpts; their son Elmo Arthur &#x26; Mary Susan Luscaleet Hosler is my Gpts.  &#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3C;BR&#x3E;I met Uncle Newton &#x26; Aunt Minnie several years ago--like my dau was about 4/5 at the time (she is 38 now).  Have a darling picture of her with them. Aunt Minnie was telling Kim to call her Grandma Minnie!!!&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3C;BR&#x3E;The Coffin Family were from Champaign Co, IL &#x26; when they ywent to IA--Uncle Newton went with them.  &#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3C;BR&#x3E;There is another Hosler son in IA. Eugene Clayton Hosler of&#x3C;BR&#x3E;Boone Co, IA. &#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3C;BR&#x3E;You have to be carefull who you look for.  Some used Hosler,&#x3C;BR&#x3E;Hostler (Uncle William Hostler- Uncle Chai); Uncle Gene used Hossler/Hostler.&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3C;BR&#x3E;Then as you go furter back into Huntington Co, IN to&#x3C;BR&#x3E;Stark Co, OH, to Lancaster Co, PA--you have Hossler, Hosler,&#x3C;BR&#x3E;Hassler.  &#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3C;BR&#x3E;I have the Hasler Book pub in 1947 by Helen Dempsey Hasler.&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3E;From York Co, Philad. Co, PA, Berks/Lancaster Co. PA. &#x3C;BR&#x3E;There is an chapter on our Sebastian Hasler--came from&#x3C;BR&#x3E;the Valley of Hasli,Canton of Basel, Switzerland &#x26; the line&#x3C;BR&#x3E;goes on back.&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3C;BR&#x3E;Our Sebastian Hasler/Hassler/Hossler arrive in 1748 from&#x3C;BR&#x3E;Rotterdam on the ship &#x22;Crown&#x22; with his brother, wife &#x26; 2&#x3C;BR&#x3E;children.&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3C;BR&#x3E;I have some pictures of the Hosler Family. I email Vickie&#x3C;BR&#x3E;Hostler (Gdau of William &#x26; Lalla Votrain Hostler). I was born in Burnside Iowa, 1922. My fathers name was Newton Alfred Hosler born 1894 of Whiteheath, Piatt County Illinois and my mothers name was Minnie Mytle Coffin. My fathers brother William Frank Hosler was born 1895 also of Whiteheath, and wife Lalla L Votrain were my aunt and uncle.  I understand our family originated in Switzerland and we are relatives of Sebastian Hosler. I am one of eight children. My father was a farmer and after the depression was a carpenter, living always in Iowa after he was married. Frank lived in Illinois and spent his last years in a wheelchair. Weatherwax (1861-1938) married Elizabeth Rutter or Rutherford. They resided in Ordway,Crowley co in USC1910,1920. USC 1930 James moved to Fremnor co CO and is found in South Cannon. His wife died c1920 in Crowley co. James died in Calif in 1938.&#x3C;BR&#x3E;In USC1900 Sioux co IA Elizabeth father is identifed as Robert Rutherford, others have identified him a Robert or Oliver W. Rutter. The problem is all census records for Robert or Oliver Rutter do not identify a daughter Elizabeth born in proper timeframe or location.&#x3C;BR&#x3E;James and Elizabeth had 6 children 3 born in Nebraska and 3 born in Iowa&#x3C;BR&#x3E;I am searching for a death or burial record for Elizabeth that gives a good dod,dob and hopefully confirmation of her maiden name.&#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3C;BR&#x3E;Important Note:&#x3C;BR&#x3E;The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Do you live in the Denver area?  I live in Aurora. &#x3C;BR&#x3E;&#x3C;BR&#x3E;I am still trying to find the children of Mabel and Myrtle.  I show Mabel had a son Irvin L Jett.  Do you know how I can find out if she had any others and if Myrtle and Henry had any children?
