We believe he lived in Kentucky at one time & served in the military during WW11. Family story is - he was headed west to be shipped overseas & was believed to have been at Pearl Harbor when it was hit.. Death certificate of my great grandfather, Wilson "Willis" Coffman, shows his father as Michael Coffman and mother as Hannah Rice both born in OH. Wilson was born in 1853 and died in 1932. I believe that WCW's mother was named Nancy Cannon! It was not uncommon for several brothers & sister to marry into the same families. Google << dna walker familytreedna >> then look under "Results", then scroll down to group #2. It's a shot in the dark, but they were in the Jefferson Co., TN about the same time. I'm in Group #7 of that listing, but my Coffman line is from David H > Lovell S. > Lovell J. > James Alfred. That line seems to have fallen thru the cracks in the earlier publications, but now I have it compiled & well documented. Hope this gives you some more info & connections.
