I have several letters from Alexander H. Stephens to our common great-grandfather. Stepehen's addressees him by his middle name, Henry.
The relationship between Stephen's and our family is very interesting. Richard Jr's sister Mary married Linton Stephens, Alex's half brother who was a prominent Judge in Georgia. Linton's daughter from his first marriage married her step-mother's brother Richard H. Salter Jr. our common grandfather. She died not many years after marrying Richard. My Grandfather Albert was born in 1899 to Richard and Katherine Stephens (no relation, that I know of yet to the earlier Stephens). He passed in 1974. Richard jr. Moved to Ontario California had a large house there.

Important Note:
The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
