Marcia
Thanks for the site. I do recall reading that it depended on which side of
the road the people lived as to which county they were in. In the very early
days - 1790's, the Freemans were in Ancaster and then the father and one son
had land in Halton. Another son settled closer to at least 3 of the sisters
in Con 2 W.Flamborough. I am slowly documenting all their marriages and
moves and first few generations.
Linda
===
Sent: Sunday, January 04, 2009 12:57 PM
Subject: Re: [UPPER-CANADA] Old Border Line York/ Lincoln
Perfect timing!
Lorine,

What a fabulous idea! We can read answers to previous questions, and maybe
get answers to our questions without having to ask. Soon
thereafter Elizabeth Cline moved to Kingston with five of her six daughters;
two of whom I believe were Gertraut and Mary.When at Kingston she made a UEL
claim and married John Nicholas.

I would appreciate lister input Re this family unit. Thanks, Don

Good afternoon Listers & a Happy New Year. I hope 2009 is a productive year
for you.

I'm not sure if this is the right forum but I hope someone is able to help.
I am trying to trace any living descendents of the above named couples who
emigrated to Canada c1842 from Dundee, Angus, Scotland. They settled in the
Goderich & Colbourne area of Huron County. They were married in Dundee and
had several children before emigrating where they had more children.

My Greatx2 Grandfather Hay OWER was their youngest brother and he emigrated
to Australia in 1852. We are planning a reunion this year and it would be
great to have some of the Canadian cousins there if possible.

Dawn McConkey
New Zealand
