I don't seem to find anyone in my line in the Wayne County ara. If Tilden's father was born in 1829 in PA he came with a later group of people to the Ohio area. My group came in the late 18th century-sometime in the 1790's-with a group of Mennonites and Dunkards (today known as Brethren-not to be confused with United Brethren which is different altogether.) John Welty (Welde)(son of John and Eve) was a Mennonite minister in Fairfield County. Weltys from this line can also be found in Hocking County, Tuscarawas County, Homes County, Fairfield county, Perry county. I do not find the name Emmanuel but that means only that he is the child of someone not in my direct line. I am descended from Catherine-the daughter of John and Eve so I don't have later generations of the Welty surname in my family line. Abraham was born in PA. and the census listed his age as 51 at the time. Tilden lived from 1853-1930 and is buried in the cemetery at Dalton, Oh. He lived all his live in that area.
