He migrated north to Monroe County, PA. Would be interested in sharing information on the family. Did find an interesting extra bit on the patriarch John Yeamans -- he was evidently married first to a woman named Sarah. This marriage was dissolved by an act of the Maryland legislature before he was able to marry Mary Grant. I do think the Margaret Yeamans/Charles Wilmerton link looks like a genuine connection to this particular family. Have some additional info. on this theory as well that I'm willing to share.

Yeamans who would have been the brother of Margaret Yeamans. Elisha is buried in Northeast, MD Methodist Church cemetery. Elisha was a blacksmith and had a son, Thomas who would have been my mother's grandfather. My mother's middle name was Yeamans.

I am interested in any information on John Yeaman's ancestors as well as Mary Grant's if you have any. I would also be interested in any information on Margaret's line.

My parents grew up in New Castle, DE and still live there.

MD. One tree has name as John Hayman. His wife was Mary Grant. It looks like this John had a daughter Margarett J. (b. 1847) who I suspect may have married Charles S. Wilmerton of NJ. I am descended from this line. Any info that anyone has would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
