Unfortunately there is no list of civilian workers for the Confederate States. You have to use State and county records, county histories, letters and diaries. It's not an easy job. On the other hand many factory workers in the South joined local defense companies, which were associated with the factory in which they worked. However, while the records exist for some of these companies they are rather sparce.
