Hello to all,
I am hoping that someone could tell me the meaning of a
brooch that my great grandfather is wearing in a photo that
I have of him. He is wearing full Scottish regalia - kilt, sporran
etc ( I am not sure of the correct terminology of all the pieces).
The brooch is plain silver with the letters CCPB surrounded by
a plain narrow border. There is also an attachment below the
brooch but it is too far away to see the detail.
The photo is black and white of course so I can't see the colours of the
tartan but his mother was a Cheyne which I understand was a sept of
the Sutherland clan.
Could anyone please tell me what CCPB could stand for.
Regards
Wendy in sunny Queensland, Australia
