Family research: Aberdeen, Slains.

I have information on the following families that are mainly based in the
fishing village of Collieston, [Aberdeen, Slains]. Research has so far
covered the period from circa 1780 to 1950s and to present generations.

However there were branches of the family found living from time to time in
other fishing ports both north [as far as Peterhead] and south as far as
Aberdeen, and also Torry and other villages in the former county of
Kincardineshire.

WALKER
PHILLIP(S)
FINDLAY
KING
FID(D)LER
RITCHIE

The following were mainly based on the Peterhead area, although this
research is not so substantial [1800 to circa 1860]:

RITCHIE
DUTHIE
REID
FOREMAN

I would welcome mutual exchange of information on the above family names. I
would also be interested in any research into the fishing village of
Collieston, mentioned above. Many of the family names are repeated, but the
links are not always so clear to establish!

I would welcome renewing contact with any researcher who has contacted me
previously.

Please note that I have changed ISP and now use BTINTERNET. E-mail can be
sent to me at the electronic addresses either in the header information or
in the signature block. The later is my preferred address since this will be
re-directed to any ISP that I use either now or in the future.

Any previous reference to my e-mail addresses using either CompuServe or MSN
should be deleted.

Regards

Gordon Self
