Hello Ray,
You will certainly find information in the HUNTLY (note the
spelling PLEASE) Old Parish Records for the 17th and 18th
centuries, but I am afraid that the records for Cairnie or Cairney
only start in 1738.
CAIRNEY Baptisms 1738 - 1854: Marriages 1738 - 1854: Deaths -
Nil
HUNTLY (formerly Dunbennan & Kinnoir) Baptisms 1683 - 1854:
Marriages 1684 - 1697 & 1777 - 1854: Deaths 1742 - 1765
Hope this helps.
Which part of Cairney did your McGregor family come from?
I have the MI's for Dunbennan and there are numerous Frasers,
Morrisons and Sutherlands and McGregors buried there. If you can
send me some names, I can check the list for you.
Marina
