Sorry not to have written earlier in response to those of you with
Moir/Mair/Blackhall information. Here is what I have collected during my
short inquiries so far.

All these folk are from the Old Machar area of Aberdeen.

George Moir m. Rachel Bainzie around 1750

Their son:
James, b. 1721; m. Elspet Blackhall (I have no parents for her as yet) in
1853
Elspet m. Alexander Stephen, b. 1772

Their children were:
Isabel, b. 1755
Robert b. 1757
James b. 1760
Alexander b.1762
Elspet b. 1765
Andrew b. 1768
George b. 1769

Elspet m. Alexander Stephen (b. 1772) in the late 1780's
Their children were:
Isabel, b. 1789
Helen, b. 1794
Elspet, b. 1796; m. William Campbell in 1816.

Does this fit in with any of you Mair/Moir/Blackhall researchers? I hope it
helps. If it does, I can give you more on the Campbell line.
