I would like to hear from any one who are connected to the Leslie family of
Warthill or from Rayne.

The ones I am interested mostly in are Patrick, Walter & George Leslie. They
are the Leslie Brothers who explored the Darling Downs area of Queensland
and started the township of Warwick. The Leslies were first on the Darlings
Downs in 1840 and took up "North Toolburra" and "Canning Downs"

They also lived in the Ross & Cromarty for a period of time before coming to
Australia.

Patrick Leslie 1815-1881 was born at Warthill, Aberdeenshire. He was the 2nd
son of William Leslie (9th Laird of Warthill (estate known as Wartle) and
8th of Folla) and Jane Davidson (sister of W.S. Davidson).

Could anyone give us any information on who W.S. Davidson is and any
information on the Warthill Leslie's and what does Folla mean.

Will be grateful for any information on these names. The Leslie Brothers are
cousins of my Great Grandmother Hellen (Munro) Fraser.
