Hello all:

I'm trying to verify the birth date of a Charles Meldrum, son of Peter Meldrum and Elizabeth Mitchell. I have conflicting dates, and I don't know which one is correct. According to the Mormon IGI he was born in Drumblade on the 29 Dec. 1855, but the family records that we have show him as being born 26 May 1849 in Drumblade. I tend to go with the 1849 date, simply because the other children were born a very few years apart (9 children), and the previous child was born in 1846--a long space in between children. Possible, of course, but doesn't seem too likely.

Is anyone familiar with this family, or perhaps could check the birth date for me?
