Dear Stuart,
If you don't get a reply to your query you could try the City Archives or the
Aberdeen Maritime Museum.
My own opinion is that the Harbour Lights would need more manual
attention in those days than they do now and that it would be an official
job.
The Public Library has all the papers which can be viewed on film.
All these places have their web sites.
As my particular interest is Fittie,a.k.a Footdee and the Harbour area
I would be willing to look in censuses etc.if you have not already done so.
