Hi everyone,

I have yet another question, that I'm hoping someone out there will be able to help me with! My Great Grandfather was said to have been born at 15 GLASDOW STREET, Aberdeen. My initial thought was that this was a mis-spelling at that it should have read GLASGOW STREET, but on inspecting the certificate again, it really does look like the G in the middle of Glasgow, is infact a D!

I'm a bit stuck, and hoped someone with a knowledge of the area could help me out. I have a few other addresses in the Aberdeen area, and I'd be really interested to learn a little about them too. For example were they purely residential areas or were there commercial properties there too.

UNION GLEN, Aberdeen
GORDON STREET, Aberdeen
VIRGINIA STREET, Aberdeen

I have looked at www.old-maps.co.uk but can't seem to see what I'm looking for. Once again, thank you for your time and I look forward to hopefully hearing from some of you soon.
