many hardys hardies were mchardys or machardie but dropped the mc or mac
to shorten the name which is a shame because it is more recognisable as
a scottish name although hardy is a scottish name and has been longer than
mc or mac hardy.
all names hardy or hardie or hardee hardey all represent the same name.
It is more likely that comming from aberdeenshire it is more probible that
she was a mchardy but then again some of my english friends call me machardie
just because Im scottish.
