Abt. 1872 my gg grandfather David Moir was presented with a chair from the High Street Society, Arbroath. Recently an uncle visited Scotland and took a photograph of the High Street Society, Arbroath building - are these one and the same and what were they? Could it have been a type of businessmen's club?

>From the photo it would appear the ground floor of the premises is now a shop.
There are another two stories above - perhaps used as a dwelling.

Can anyone shed some light!!!
