Your message caught my attention due to the Brown / Greig connection. This
is a long shot but...
My grandmother Christina Ingram married John Brown in the late 1800's.
I assume in Aberdeenshire area, although I don't know for sure. They had
4 children that I know of - Margaret/Maggie, Alice, James and Charles along
with my grandmother Jessie/Jane Ann Morrision who was born to Christina
in 1887 (father James Morrison) before Christina's marriage to John Brown.
My grandmother Jessie Morrison married Benjamin Jones in Aberdeen. Anyway,
my father's middle name is Greig. So that must be a family name. Have you
come across any of these names in your research of Brown.
