Hi,
You may know this already, but just in case you don't. In the 1950's Miss
Urquhart was Head of the Childrens Dept of Aberdeenshire County Council and
therefore in charge of all adoptions. She had been the first police woman in
UK in the Surrey force . A great character who became I believe a councillor
with Grampian County Council.
She may still be alive to-day but I cannot say because I left the area
in1958. Her family would have interesting tales to tell. Do you know what
Urquhart Road was named after.?
