Hi Doreen:

Bless you YES! It is the Fraserburgh family we are researching. I
started a year ago because a friend of mine is the last in her line of
Cardno's as there were no male descendants. I started with her family
going back to James Cardno, Carter, Fraserburgh, married Margaret
Thomson 1834 but so far I have not been able to trace his parents. A lot
of work has been done by a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter-day Saints, Gary Cardno in Canada, and this is recorded in the
LDS "Ancestral File: CARDNO".

We have opened a MyFamily website called MyFamilyCardno and there are
now about 12 members spreading from Fraserburgh to New Zealand, Canada
and California. The main interest is centered on 5 brothers as in the
report at the end of this e-mail.
There is lots more info on these families - contact me off-line.

Do please respond - we are very keen to include ALL descendants,
including the Rathen, Inverallochy and Cairnbulgh families. Look forward

2. JOHN2 CARDNO (ALEXANDER1) was born September 7, 1790 in Fraserburgh,
Aberdeenshire. He married CHRISTIAN DUTHIE February 20, 1813 in Rathen
Parish, Aberdeenshire. She was born 1799 in Rathen Parish,
Aberdeenshire, and died 1868 in Cairnbulg, Aberdeenshire.


3. GEORGE2 CARDNO (ALEXANDER1) was born August 28, 1793 in Fraserburgh,
Aberdeenshire. He married ISABELLA SHAND February 24, 1822. She was
born in Born in Fraserburgh..
