On the IGI there is a marriage for an Alexander DOWNIE and a Maria McKAY, 31
May 1862, Old Machar. Children:

Jane b. 25 January 1867, Monquhitter
Jessie b. 25 July 1869, Monquhitter
Ann Wilson b. 17 Sept 1870, Monquhitter
John b. 15 January 1873, Monquhitter

The only DOWNIE I have so far is an Elizabeth DOWNIE who married John FOWLER
Feb 1802, Kintore, they are my 4th great grandparents, not sure who
Elizabeth's parents or siblings were though.
