Kirkton of Skene is a village within the Parish of Skene. In your
ggggf's time, it was probably the main village in the parish.

Nowadays, a good part of the parish of Skene is occupied by dormitory
suburbs of the city of Aberdeen, but I doubt if the Kirkton has changed
much.
