> Hi everyone - I hope you all had a great xmas and a safe and happy new
year.
>
> Firstly I must apologise to anyone that has emailed me with requests for
Victoria Australia look ups - but my so called new computer died and I have
been off line for the last 3 to 4 weeks, so if anyone would like me to do a
look up re email me and I will see what I can do.
>
> Due to the overload on the 1901 census site - I figured now was the
correct time for my big requests. I have a hundred and one questions and
don't quite know where to begin - so please bear with me.
>
> Doug and I have finally booked our holiday to visit you fine people in
June - we are going to other places but we have 30 days (on our own - no
accommodation) in which we have to see England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland.
I have briefly mapped out the places I really need to see - as this is a
once in a lifetime trip and I was wondering if you would be able to help me
with the following questions -
>
> We are going to start in London - then to Bath, Bristol, Cardiff, Builth
Wells, Shrewsbury, Caernafon, Anglesea, Chester, Liverpool, Manchester,
Lancaster, Carlisle, Ayr, Glasgow, Inverness, Aberdeen, Stonehaven,
Edinburgh, York, Leeds, Sheffield, Nottingham, Leicester, Warwick and then
back to London. I know I haven't included Ireland but I was thinking of
doing a 3 to 6 day bus tour if we can fit it in.
>
> Question time
>
> I require a list of cemeteries for the area's above so I can visit my dead
relatives and maybe parishes in the area's as well especially in the
Somerset & Ayr regions - how does one get this info??
>
> How do you think we should travel around - car or public transport?
>
> Does anyone know of clean, cheap Bed & Breakfasts that we could stay in??
>
> I would like to go to Clutton as well, where you all had your first
reunion of the Bristol & Somerset gathering - if I couldn't be there last
year - I might touch something that one of you guys did and it will make me
feel part of it. I know I get more sentimental as I get older - lol - also
I have been told to go the Cotswold Cottage's area - am I going to be near
there in the towns I want to visit???
>
> Are there any maps or road maps that I could purchase to see where my
EDGELL ancestors lived in Somerset??
>
> I really think that I have asked too many questions in one email - I will
hang on to the others for next time.
>
> I really appreciate all the help and information over the year from the
list members and I am sure I can say THANK YOU now for the responses I will
receive on the above questions
> Good luck to everyone in their research for 2002
> Kindest regards
