Hello, I'm new to the list. Searching for information re: James
Coutts(1830-1888)Echt, Aberdeen. Was editor of Aberdeen's
Journal(newspaper?), and a memorial erected in his honor, 1908 in Echt.
James married a Fanny Bruce. Their daughter(of many children),Elizabeth
Coutts, married George Thomson II(mother: Francis Jane Taylor) 1883 in Echt
Parish Church. Have several pre-1900 photos and trying to contact
descendants. Eliz. and George Thomson moved to Canada a few years after
marriage. Have follow on history for several of these folks.
Who are parents of James Coutts?Possible clue: James'(1830-1888) son's name
was James Alexander Charles Coutts. And a brother to first James was William
who came to Canada to work in George Thomson's store. Thanks.
