Hi, Listers,
Wondering about Kennethmont in late 1830's -- Was that a town or village like
Huntly? What was that population at that time? Would there have been a
hardware shop there? (Still pursuing my Alexander S. Hay, Sq. Wright) I have
found a James Bain there, and he was a witness for the baptism of Alexander's
sixth child, the child perhaps named after the minister of the established church
in Huntly (JAMES WALKER HAY). Ruminating about all this, and still looking!
Heidi
