Both of these sites are pay to play sites, like Ancestry. They will give
you a loittle free info, usually based on free info collected and available
elsewhere on the Internet. This is just a come-on offer to get folks to
sign up for the paid service, which is why you must enter a username &
password. The service is paid monthly and not by the hit.

Our library, in the US, subscribes to Ancestry Plus & Heritage Quest. Our
library users can come in to use them, but they do not permit remote access
to our users.

When I went in, it would let me do a search on the books, but when I tried
to actually access any of the results, it asked for username/password again
and would not accept "welcome" as posted. Has anyone else failed/succeeded
at this? The NYT listings showed with no problem.
