Thankyou Ray and Gavin for all your trouble.
Gavin would the family's name have been either Webster, Hay or Pratt by any
chance?

In hopes of helping with this query, I took a look at the transcribed
version of the 1851 Census for Turriff. This has no Dulcerstone, but
between Shannock and Claymires there is an entry for "Bilcarstone". In
view of what Ray has found, I think this is a mistranscription ("Bil..."
and "Dul..." could look quite similar in Victorian copperplate).
The entry is for a single household, headed by a "farmer (12 acres)", so
I think Dulcerstone was a single house, not an area.
