Subject: Query re-Death of James Milne

My great -great- great grandfather James Milne died just before his daughter`s wedding on the 10th June 1871, my query is where can I find out when he died? I have tried searching on Scotspeople and have not found his death
Is there anywhere else I can look? I have tried looking for his wife`s death but alas I haven`t been able to find Ann Thain`s death either. As Daughter Elizabeth Milne was married in the Catholic church would there be separate records for them elsewhere?
