Hello,

I've just spent 30 fruitful pages at http://www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk in
less than an hour. Among other treasures, I found the death record for my
ancestor living at 21 Whitehouse Street. Anyone on the list live nearby?
Does it still exist?

Could someone gently correct me if I'm wrong, but is there any compelling
reason, after downloading the image of the death record, to order an
extract? My understanding is that an extract is a transcribed document of
data from the original document and is certified for legal purposes. For
genealogical purposes, wouldn't an image of the original be more desired?

With above death record in hand, to whom do I write to find the burial
location my ancestor who died 1887?

Thanks very much and regards to all,

Priscilla
