Have spent the last 13 years searching for the birth of my grandmother.
Hoping SKS on the list may have an answer.

Name: Sarah Elliott HILL (do not think it is a hyphenated name) Married in
Edinburgh June 1907 age 23, so assume born 1884. Died Stockton Co Durham
February 1950 age 66, so once again born 1884. I always understood she was
born in Edinburgh as was her sister Elizabeth (born 1887)

Her brother William Beaton Elliott HILL died in Aberdeen March 1939 age 58,
so born 1881. (Insurance Company Inspector) I think he spent most of his
life in Aberdeen, maybe he was born there?

Parents : John Charles Elliott HILL (a draper) & Margaret BEATON.

On grandmother’s marriage certificate, her father was listed as Charles
Elliott Hill (Commercial Traveller)

Have searched Scotlands People with no success (or maybe not doing it
right!)If anyone has an answer to this I would be most grateful.

I live in Perth Western Australia, so if anyone needs any research done this
end, I would be happy to help.
