Hi Stacey

According to my book on photograhers in N E Scotland, Edward McIntosh
Middleton was an apprentice photographer aged 14 in 1881. He was born in Aberdeen,
the son of John Middleton, master tailor, and Jane F Middleton; resident 8
School Hill, Aberdeen.

1891 - 1914+ he worked at 181 King Street, Aberdeen. (1893-1896 Middleton's
Studios; 1896 'E & J Midddleton'.) Maybe the different name will help you
identify a likely date.
