Hello,

I have just been given my grandfather's letter of recommendation from his
employer dated 1911. The company that he worked for was Aberdeen Oil and
Colour Works on Fish Street, Aberdeen with a second office in Dundee. I
understand the oil part but does anyone know what the "colour: is about?
