Hi Charles: I have father and son Battee Abernathy's as my ancestors. The
first Battee was born to Miles Abernathy and Sarah Goode in 1760, died 1852 in
Pocahontas, MO. He married Mary Beale.

Their son, Battee, was born 1789 and died 1845 in Missouri. The second Battee
married Willie Nance. At this point everyone stayed in Perry Co., MO. They
had a daughter, Sophronia Abernathy, born 1821 in Perry County, MO. She
married William McCombs in 1839.

Their daughter, Laura McCombs (1851-1924), was married in 1871 to Jeremiah
Addison Abernathy (1828-1873). If any of these descendants are in your line,
I can give you the rest of their family info as I know it.

I am stuck on Jeremiah Addison Abernathy -- can't find his ancestry.
